Book Review – Other People – Christian Fiction By: George Fithen

Inspiration Reviews Writer's Resources

I was delighted to be able to read this book – Other People, in order to do a proper book review for the author – George Fithen. He is a long-time friend of mine and I consider doing the book review for him an honor.

George Fithen is obviously not ashamed to write about his love and relationship with Christ, and most importantly, not ashamed to tell others! The main purpose of the book! 🙂

George brought forth the characters that were portrayed in this treasure of a story so well that I could almost see them crystal clear. I also felt as if I was actually there with these young adults. It takes an excellent writer to be able to do this. His story telling is essentially exquisite.

Genuine and entertaining story about the lives of a group of teenagers eventually finding Christ. The apologue unfolds as these youngsters deal with some unfortunate difficulties. The writer created the character of a heartfelt, young woman to accompany them as a witness and example to help counsel and guide them to The Lord.

The book was distinctly hard to put down; as the pages kept me enlightened with suspense. A must read! Written for both teenagers and adults.

I didn’t want to write this book review without extending an invitation to anyone that is reading this review or is planning on purchasing Other People, to accept Christ into their hearts as their Lord and Savior. 🙂

You will find below the appropriate scriptures that you can either read silently or aloud

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Short excerpt from the book…

When the best day of their young lives goes horribly wrong, John, Chris, and their friends have only each other to lean on. But what about Kate? Can her God really offer them the peace and comfort they need?

Only God can offer the other people of this lost world everything they need. They will never know this truth, though, unless Christians take the time to understand their hurt and shine the light into their dark world.
